I’m Shruti.

A visual creative working across cultural, artistic, and event contexts.

Alongside commissioned work, I maintain an ongoing personal practice of observing cities I move through, often without a fixed destination or outcome.

Walking, pausing, passing. Paying attention to how people inhabit space, and how small, everyday situations carry traces of belonging, distance, or transition.

That way of working - slow, attentive, open-ended feeds directly into how I approach assignments.

At the same time, I work closely with organizations and teams, adapting that way of seeing to the needs of a commission.

In practice, this means being present without being intrusive, working in dialogue when needed, and staying attentive to both the visible and less obvious aspects of a situation.

The images are made to function across communication, press, and documentation, while still holding a sense of atmosphere and specificity.

My work is shaped by an ongoing interest in how people relate to places, and how temporary forms of belonging take shape within them.
